The Bentley Continental GT is the grand tourer the Rolls Dawn isn't. Where a Rolls is built around the back seat, the Continental is built around the driver who wants to actually drive the 200-mile run from Miami to Naples without giving up the leather and walnut. It's a smaller car than it looks, easier to thread through Brickell traffic than a Cullinan, and the badge still does most of the talking at valet.

The current Continental GT runs a hybrid V8 paired with an electric motor for 771 hp combined, but the spec sheet undersells it. Bentley calls it a "wave of torque" in their marketing and the description is accurate. The car never feels strained, the all-wheel drive system can route 100 percent of torque to the rear when you want it to, and at highway cruise it returns mileage that doesn't embarrass anyone. 0-60 is 3.2 seconds.

Bentley's "diamond knurling" pattern is on every metal surface, the leather is sourced from a herd in Bavaria, and the rotating display in the dash flips between three faces: touchscreen, analog dials, or blank wood veneer. That last one is the move. The seats massage and ventilate, the rear seats fit two adults for short trips, and the Naim audio is the best factory stereo in any car under $300k.

Long hood, fastback rear, four round headlights set into oval housings, and the matrix grille that's been the Bentley face since the 50s. The current generation is the cleanest the Continental has looked since the 2003 reset.
